Is potato greens healthy or not?
In African cooking, potato greens are boiled or fried, chop finer and use in any recipe. Potato Greens dish is one of those classic meal cooked in West Africa, especially in Liberia with vegetable oil or red palm oil. Potato greens are loaded with vitamins. Potato leaves are an excellent source of several essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, folate, iron, calcium, and potassium. These nutrients can help strengthen the immune system.
What is fufu?
It consists of starchy foods—such as cassava, yams, or plantains—that have been boiled, pounded, and rounded into balls; the pounding process, which typically involves a mortar and pestle, can be laborious. Fufu is often dipped into sauces or eaten with stews of meat, fish, or vegetables.
Jollof or jollof rice, is a rice dish from West Africa. The dish is typically made with long-grain rice, tomatoes, chilies, onions, spices, and sometimes other vegetables and/or meat in a single pot, although its ingredients and preparation methods vary across different regions. The dish's origins trace to the Senegambian region.
What is plantain? What ia starchy tropical fruit that is part of the banana family. Plantains are larger than bananas, have a thicker skin and a higher starch content. Plantains can be eaten when ripe (yellow or brown skin) or unripe (green skin) and are used in sweet and savory applications.
Plantains are a good source of antioxidants, including vitamins C and A.
Attiéké, also spelled attiéké Ivory Coast, is a side dish made from cassava that is popular and traditional in Ivory Coast. The dish is prepared from fermented cassava pulp that has been grated or granulated. You can have it with fish, Chicken, and vegetables.
